Finally, the suit was held by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) wherein Igor Stimac severed his services as the head coach of India’s football team. 

The change in tactics seen here is that the channel has now shifted its focus wherein they stopped supporting the Indian team after its elimination in the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Based on the information given, the Acting Secretary General Satyanarayan had the obligation to notify Igor Stimac about contract termination. 

It is to be noted that the AIFF later served a formal letter to Stimac informing him about the termination of his services as the head coach of the national team.

The AIFF is now in the process of finalising several candidates to take over the new role of head coach. Some top contenders include

  • Albert Roca: He knows about Indian football as he briefly served as a trainer for the Bengaluru football club.
  • Stephen Constantine: The man who is or was also a head coach of the Indian national team and who is highly respected.
  • Ashley Westwood: Owns an Indian football team and is well known for devising quite good strategies.
